It seems like ‘glasstic’ Samsung Galaxy S21 may launch next year. This information has been shared by ‘Chun’, a tipster. Do note that the tipster did not say he’s 100-percent certain, though.
The ‘glasstic’ Samsung Galaxy S21 is definitely a possibility
He simply said that the chances of a ‘glasstic’ Galaxy S21 are higher than before. So, it may or may not happen. Considering that the company announced a ‘glasstic’ Galaxy Note 20, anything is possible.
Some of you are probably wondering what is ‘glasstic’, exactly. Well, Samsung claims that it made the Galaxy Note 20 out of ‘glasstic’, which is a glass-like plastic. It’s still plastic, though, so… keep that in mind.
Some people may not mind some plastic on their devices, but many expect more if they pay a premium for a device. Still, Samsung seems to be leaning more and more towards plastic these days.
The Galaxy S20 FE also comes with a plastic back
The Galaxy Note 20 is not the only high-end Samsung smartphone to offer plastic back this year. The Galaxy S20 FE is another example of a device that offers it.
The Galaxy S20 FE is the company’s budget flagship, in a way, and it’s more affordable than the Galaxy Note 20. So… people are more lenient in that sense, and plastic back is easier to understand in its case.
In the case of the Galaxy S21, well… the company certainly won’t use plastic on all devices in the series. The most affordable Galaxy S21 flagship may offer it, though, presuming we’ll get three such phones from the company.
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra in Q1 next year. Things may change by that time, though, if Samsung opts to go with a different setup of devices.
The Galaxy S21+ and S21 Ultra will almost certainly use metal and plastic. The Galaxy S21 build materials are still up in the air, it seems. It will be interesting to see how much will the phone cost if the company does opt for plastic, though.
